Donations to the Museum are considered tax-free donations as per 26 U.S. Code § 170. Charitable, etc., Contributions and Gifts and 26 CFR § 1.501(c)(3)-1.
You are welcome to mail cash or checks to the Museum, Attn: Registrar, or you may call us, utilizing a credit or debit card, make a donation over the phone. All donations, regardless of amount are truly appreciated!
We also are more than happy to accept in-kind donations. Please contact the Museum Registrar for our wish list. These items start as low as just a few dollars.
For Colorado residents: The Museum received approval for the Northwest Rural Enterprise Zone. This designation allows you a Colorado state tax credit of 25% of the value of your cash donation (of at least $100.00) when you file your income tax return. This also includes multiple donations during the year that together equal or exceed $100.00. If you would like to utilize this please ensure that when you make a donation you speak with our Museum Registrar so the appropriate paperwork is submitted to the State of Colorado prior to the end of each calendar year. If this is not done before the end of the calendar year the donation is made, it will not qualify.
